Check this out - the Palm Pre clone you see here would have fooled most people at first glance as the real thing, where it slides upwards to reveal a QWERTY keyboard that amazingly enough, isn't too far off the mark comapred to the original. Just in case you're too used to the virtual keyboard environment, fret not - this clone handles such a function as well. It will be powered by the OPhone OS and retail for an unbelievably low $88 thereabouts in China. Heck, at that price, you even get a built-in analog TV tuner, talk about it being a bargain in that part of the world!

The PSP Go might have just been released last week, but that short time frame has not stopped pirates from coming up with their own version - the $84 PXP-2000. Yes sir, shaving off a good $165 from the PSP Go's retail price, the PXP-2000 won't be able to connect to your PlayStation Network (duh!), although you do get support for a host of popular video codecs including RM, RMVB natively, AVI, WMV, ASF, MPG, MPEG, MPE, MP4, DAT and MOV. On the gaming front, this is a massive fail - after all, it just emulates NES games as well as Gameboy and SFC titles. There isn't 16GB of internal memory in this puppy, relying on microSD memory cards instead as the storage medium of choice.

We do wonder why no action seems to have been taken against Nokla and their bevy of cellphone clones, with the Nokla E75 being the latest in a long line. This handset will knock off the Nokia E75, where it does look like the real thing at first glance. Apart from the full QWERTY keyboard that slides out, you also get a 2.6" touchscreen display at 240 x 320 resolution, a 2-megapixel camera, an integrated FM radio, a built-in G sensor and and e-book reader among others. No idea on pricing, but don't expect this to be the same as the Nokia E75.

It goes without saying if you happen to pick up a notebook known as the VAIC TT, this is most definitely a Sony VAIO clone. Still, if you want to fool the less informed among your peers, the VAIC TT will be powered by an Intel Aton N270 1.6GHz processor, featuring a 12.1" display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, 1GB RAM, 160GB ROM, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi connectivity alongside optional Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. After conversion, it ought to retail for $295 thereabouts, making it pretty standard.

Check out the Nokia N900 clone from Papaya One (what a name!), where it will feature the standard dual SIM card carriage, a built-in sensor that is able to detect various shakes which translate to commands, a gravity sensor, a 3" touchscreen, video and audio playback as well as Bluetooth connectivity. One thing about this clone is, you won't be able to snap any good photos with it - after all, it comes with but a 0.3-megapixel resolution that is virtually technology stuck in the earlier part of this century. Supporting GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz bands means this can be used worldwide.

Here's a HTC Hero clone that needless to say, does not come with the Android operating system although it will feature dual SIM card slots, a 1.3-megapixel camera, analog TV support, an integrated FM radio, Wi-fi connectivity and support for a wide range of audio and video formats. This made-in-China handset supports the 900MHz/1800MHz GSM frequencies, so if you happen to live in regions that play nice with the aforementioned figures, you might want to tempt fate by forking out $140 for this handset.

The Gigabyte TouchNote T1028 offers a tablet-like performance in the form factor of a netbook, but it sure didn't take too long for a Chinese company to roll out its clone, known as the 100 See Ban Gu. This blatant ripoff will come with a 10.2" touchscreen display which can be folded in a manner similar to the TouchNote to form a tablet, while a touchpad with buttons are located on the left and right sides instead. There is no word on whether the 100 See Ban Gu will share the TouchNote's 1,366 x 768 resolution display and built-in 3G connectivity, but we do know that it will be powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive.

Has the fake luxury fashion fever now reached the niche tablet market? Apparently so, with the introduction of the Pierre Cardin PC-729 tablet. Guess it would go down well if you're wearing a Pierre Cardin belt to keep your oversized work pants from dropping down to the floor unintentionally. The PC-729 does not have an original to compare to, hence the relatively weak VIA C7-M 772 Esther 1.2GHz processor, a 7" TFT LCD display at 800 x 480 resolution, 1GB RAM, a 16GB SSD, a trio of USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated webcam and the Windows XP operating system. You will only get up to 2.5 hours of work time tops with the li-ion battery, making us wonder who would want to fork out $438 for this when you can get much better netbooks at that price point (sans touchscreen of course).

Fashion phones are few and between, but just like the real luxury goods, fakes abound - with the Cartier phone being the latest to be paraded. It doesn't look half bad though, but it is rather huge at 13.7cm long, and the specifications definitely won't blow you out of the water with a 2" display, a built-in digital camera of unknown megapixel count, an integrated FM radio and Bluetooth connectivity. The manufacturer has priced it at $132 a pop, making us wonder who would want to pick this up.

Here's an interesting device - the WPhone is a clone of the famous iPhone, but it goes one up on the latter's camera by including a flash as well. Other features are pretty standard for an iPhone clone including the touchscreen display, dual SIM carriage, Wi-Fi connectivty and built-in analog TV - no point having that in the US since it won't work in that part of the world. You will also get a preloaded version of Opera Mini for all your surfing needs. Nice to see them throw in a flash, although the $160 price point is not going to set hearts a-flutter anytime soon.

What's new - yet another Mac Air clone from China that looks pretty svelte, come to think of it. It is relatively slim compared to other notebooks in the market, and tips the scales at just 1.36kg, measuring 25mm at its thickest point. The firepower within the chassis is nothing to shout about unfortunately, as it features the following :-
- Intel N270 processor
- 12.1" LCD display at 1,366 x 768 resolution
- Integrated GMA950 graphics chipset
- 1GB RAM
- 120GB ROM (huh?)
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Built-in webcam
It has only two USB 2.0 ports, however, but we can't really ask for too much considering the asking price of just $250.

Pretty uncanny timing, don't you think, to see this Apple phone hit the market on the same day Apple holds an event to reveal updated products? Yes, this Apple phone might rip off the logo from Cupertino's finest, but it is a far cry from the real deal, coming in the shape of an Apple while featuring sub-standard specifications including quadband GSM support, a 2" display, dual SIM, an integrated FM radio, a TXT file reader, a digital camera of unknown megapixel count and support for up to 10 languages. It will retail for around $108 - a price we think nobody would want to pay unless they love being ridiculed at.

Guess it is a general rule of thumb NOT being able to spell properly if you're going to clone a handset - take the iphome MINI A1302, for example, going pretty much the same way as NOKLA clones. This one looks pretty ordinary, and like many other clone handsets, it has dual SIM capability - if you're shady enough to purchase a clone, chances are you might be running some clandestine operations that require to live a double life, eh? Just kidding - other specifications include a 2" display, an integrated FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity and GSM 900/1800MHz networking. Expect to fork out somewhere around $76 for the iphome MINI A1302.

The MDO S812 HTC Magic clone should be very different from the rest as this one does not only copy the Magic's physical looks, it also runs on Google Android instead of Windows Mobile like how the other clones do. Interestingly, it will come unlocked (as with all other clones) for approximately $294 in China, running on a 624MHz Marvell PXA310 processor alongside a 3.2" 320 × 480 HVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus capability, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity as well as support for CDMA2000 EVDO 800MHz 3G networking and GSM EDGE 2G networking.
