Yet another portable media player, the RAmos T9HD, is caught on video. Powered by a Rockchip RK2806 chipset, the T9HD will come equipped with a 4.3" touchscreen display at 800 × 480 resolution, support for 720p video playback, compatibility with a host of popular video formats, TV out and 8GB of internal memory. It will retail for approximately $102 after conversion. Apparently, the user interface will make allowances for drag-and-drops where appropriate.

Newman's latest portable media player, the A36HD has just arrived in China. What makes this alluring is its thinness of a mere 8mm, where they managed to miraculously cram in hardware specifications including a 3" LCD display at 400 x 240 resolution, 4GB/8GB internal memory, USB 2.0 connectivity, a TV out jack, integrated speakers, support for a wide range of audio and video files, and a music search function for easier location of your audio tracks. No touchscreen with this though if you're looking for one. Now if only these Chinese manufacturers can come up with a killer user interface...

Ainol is yet another Chinese manufacturer that comes up with ho-hum portable media players, but this time round their V9000 seems to raise the bar a fair bit. Why do we say so? Well, it does take on the 4.8" capacitive touchscreen challenge this time round, where you will also find the new SoChip SC9800 chip within which helps it handle full HD video playback at 1080p with aplomb, accompanied by an HDMI output. Hopefully the UI seen here will be realized in the final product.

With the Exilim EX-G1, Casio enters in for in the rugged camera territory with a camera that can thrive in places where most cameras wouldn't even survive. With its two-layer body (steel + polycarbonate), the Exilim EX-G1 is protected from shocks, dirt and humidity. How much protection are we talking about? According to Casio, the camera can survive drops from 7 feet (2.13m) and be plunged 3m deep underwater for one hour.
Physically, the Exilim EX-G1 is 19.9mm thick and has a non-extending 3X optical zoom (38-114mm). In the back, there's a 2.5" LCD display that is protected by an acrylic plate. The impact zones (zones where the camera is likely to fall on) are ruggedized and it is even possible to add a detachable protector similar to the one found in the Casio GzOne rugged phone - the one that started it all.

Guess you can't keep a good thing hidden - the AMD ATI HD 5970 graphics card that boasts dual GPUs alongside 2GB RAM has had its pricing leaked, purportedly going for a wallet bustin' $599.99 - for a video card, at least. The launch date is tipped to be tomorrow, so hopefully the wait won't be too long. You might want to reinvest in a newer computer chassis to fit this puppy inside.

Leica's M7 Hermes limited edition camera will be released today, where it will come in an extremely limited production of just 100 units, retailing for a cool $14,265 per unit. This is the second time both Leica and Hermes PAris have come together, where it will feature a metal finish, back finished in silver chrome, matching AUTO and flash settings with the camera’s leather, and omission of the red Leica logo. Any takers?

Casio has updated its Exilim line with the EX-FH25 superzoom, where it will feature a backlit CMOS sensor just like the EX-FC150, allowing it to take in more light while bringing a marked improvement to detail, especially for night scenes and portraits of backlit subjects. The flagship EX-FH25 will boast a 20X optical zoom and 10-megapixels of goodness, but if you happen to shoot at 40fps to capture those historical sporting moments, the resolution drops to 9-megapixels for obvious reasons. Capable of handling 720p video recording as well, the EX-FH25 ought to hit Japan this November 27th, retailing for approximately $560 after conversion.
