The holiday shopping season is here and we've compiled an Uber10 list. A vote is open on the uber10 page to select an 11th gadget so help us choose!
The Uber10 Awards were unveiled at a cool Ubergizmo event in San Francisco last week (sponsored by Dolby and Intel, check the party photos). We hope that these suggestions will give you save time. On the financial side, there are a few ways to save: you can find the best deal and order online, or wait for Black Friday and hope that your favorite gadget goes on sale, which is unlikely if it's really cool, but who knows?
Now would be a good time to become a fan on Facebook. Happy shopping!

For those interested in the Blackberry Storm 2: Wirefly has just announced that it will sell the phone (with a new contract). If you already have a Verizon contract, you might be eligible for a $29.99 upgrade. From Wirefly: "Verizon is waiving the activation fee, as well. And additional savings of $35 for one line. And up to $135 for 5 lines."
Our advice: check the Motorola Droid first.

Holiday promotions are great! Do you remember that Walmart was running an ad featuring a $199 Xbox 360 Arcade console with a $100 gift card? Well, Amazon certainly doesn’t want to lose out, and it has matched Walmart’s deal. There are only limited units, so you’d better get yours fast! The first batch has already sold out, but the deal should be running around at 12pm EST, 9am PST.

Given that laptops cost barely more than high-end smartphones, and that data plans bring fat margins to wireless carriers, it's not surprising that they start subsidizing computers too. If you accept to get a 2-year contract at $60 per month (before taxes and fees), AT&T will subsidize $402 ($282 instantly and $120 via mail) on a computer that's worth about $1000 in its basic configuration. What do you think of that?

Leaked marketing collaterals from Verizon seem to suggest that popular BlackBerry phones should go in pairs. You should be able to get the second Storm 2, Tour, Curve, and Perl Flip for free. Apparently, the second phone does not have to be identical to the first one. So, what would be your mix?
