The trend is definitely to put keyboards on devices meant for text communication. I think that Nokia does not have a winner here, many mainstream phones, like the motorola A630 will feature a keyboard for basic SMS+email, while the high-end models with have wifi, camera and other things that the Nokia 9300 is lacking.
