News: Sanyo is releasing a new line of "Xacti" camcorders

This gizmo is known in the U.S as the Fisher FVDC1. It's a very cool camcorder that can record in Mpeg4 format directly on a SD (Secure Digital) memory card (why can't they make one with a 4GB quarter-sized drive?). No tape needed. The main advantage of using one of those is that you don't have to re-watch everything you have filmed to capture it on your hard drive. Traditional MiniDV camcorder : film=>capture=>Compress=>Watch Mpeg2/4 camcorder : film=>Watch

So, what's new? Well, the color scheme and the CCD sensor resolution that went from 3 to 4 Megapixels. The "old" one can be found on Amazon for $800. Price: $800 - $900 Release date: Unknown
