DVDs could hold '100 times more'

Researchers in the UK say they have a way to store 100 times more data on a DVD disc.

It's called "Multiplexed Optical Data Storage" or MODS.

In current Optical storage media, each bit (1 or 0) is represented by light being reflected or not. The new technique would use an approach that is not so binary.
