Your grand mother is still not connected and you just dislike writing letters? L-Mail is a concept that might interest you. It's simple, you write your letter online, it gets printed as close as possible from the destination, it is then printed and sent by regular mail.
It is pretty expensive though, they'll have to work out this part.
