Sony to support MP3

Sony is a company that has a tendency to favor it's proprietary technology to leverage their incredible market share and broad reach on the consumer electronics. An exemple is the Memory Stick. In the audio world, Sony tried to impose it's "Atrac" format. However, the consumers were less than happy with this offer, given that we have plenty of popular music file format.
