the XJ100 Wifi VoIP Phone is using a wireless internet connection to send/receive calls. The big issue with Wifi, is that roaming is not quite working seamlessly yet. However, net2phone claims they this will be a non-issue on their XJ100 VoIP phone. I’ll believe it when I’ll hear it. |

As its name indicates, the XJ100 Wifi VoIP Phone is a VOIP (Voice Over IP) device that communicates using the popular Wifi standard (home wireless networking, you know?).
VOIP uses the internet to transmit data, thus, avoiding the expensive long-distance circuit switched networks (the good old copper lines).
It is becoming a growing market. I am personally using Lingo, a VOIP service that let me place unlimited calls to Europe for $19.99/month. It’s nothing short of awesome!

Hey I thought that net2phone was dead (They still owe me some minutes I think!). It turns out they are coming back with an interesting product.
