Sony has confirmed the launch date of their PSP portable console.

Interviewed by the gaming site Famitsu, Sony Computer Entertainment CTO Masa Chatani has confirmed that the PSP portable console would ship in Q4 2004 in Japan, and in Q1 2005 in Europe and the USA.
