Bluetooth Reloaded – version 2.0

The next Bluetooth 2.0 is indeed better:

• 3X speed
• 1/2 power consumption
• Backwards compatible

Broadcom already has the chips ready. I guess that the lower power consumption alone would make a bunch of phone makers switch.

The standard is backed-up by most of the big players. Expect to see it soon.
