Buffalo USB 2.0 Gigabit Network AdapterGigabit Ethernet is becoming more common nowadays. Many enterprises are installing it, and even consumer-level HUBs and Routers start to integrate this technology.

However, most laptops are still using 100Mbps Ethernet (Gigabit Ethernet is 1000Mbps).

There’s little chance that you can upgrade your laptop’s network adapter, but you can get this USB 2.0 Gigabit adapter from Buffalo. USB 2.0 does not reach 1Gbps, but it can go to 480Mbps (theoretical peak). It’s still better than 100Mbps (peak).
