Honda Reveals Technologies for Next-Generation ASIMO

Honda is announcing the development of new technologies that will bring Asimo, the humanoid robot, to the next level. The objective is to enable a new level of mobility and better interaction with humans.

Key Specs
• Running speed: 3km/hour (airborne time: 0.05 second)
• Normal walking speed: current model 1.6km/hour / new model 2.5km/hour
• Operating degrees of freedom: Total 34 degrees of freedom (current model: Total 26)

The first model was pretty fascinating, as it looked like a kid in a space-suit. I can’t wait to see the second one. Go Honda!
