Apple is currently the most successful reseller of digital music, with 200 million songs sold, but how long can it last? Napster is the first service to offer unlimited access to 700,000 songs for only $9.95 per month. This is possible using Microsoft’s copyright protection plan that allows song to be transferred to a digital audio player. As long as you continue your subscription, you can download and listen to all the songs that you want (or that you can store). Pretty cool no? Not all digital audio players are compatible with this copy protection scheme. Watch out for that. |
