Samsung to show fewer handsets

Samsung has announced that they will not show as much new prototype as they used to. The reason is that they do not want competitors to have an opportunity to catch-up before the product is nearing the launch.

Samsung has recently climbed to the rank of second largest cellphone maker (Motorola is now 3rd). That is the result of their continuous efforts to lead in both technology and design.

I don’t know if they really need this or not. It seems that creating a new handset takes time, but it’s hard to argue that showing stuff early does not help the competition…
