“4K” designates the 4096 pixels resolution that each frame of the movie has on the horizontal axis. The 4096×2160 contains four times more pixels than the highest HDTV standard: 1080p (1920×1080 pixels). The projector is using the “Silicon X-tal Reflective Display” (SXRD) developed by Sony. The goal is to set SXRD as an industry standard that will change the way movies are created and shown. Related links |
