The Inquirer has a cool tip to make Firefox be even faster then it already is. The tips came from forevergeek.com originally.

Here’s what to do:
1/ Type “about:config” in the address bar
2/ Set change “network.http.pipelining” to “true”
3/ Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”
4/ Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to 30

If you are still on a modem, it won’t help, but I tried it on my DSL connection, and I can feel the difference! Of course, you will try at your own risk :)
