Varatouch has released the reference design of the world’s smallest joystick.
The new device aim mobile devices such as portable gaming consoles, cellphones, GPS and any other application that requires a User Interface. It’s also low-cost and low-power, two critical requirements for consumer electronics.
The usability should be excellent, as it offers full analog control. Older joysticks work with an on/off switch for each direction. With this joystick, the applications could measure the force exercised on the controller and act accordingly, giving a much finer grain to the control.
