LG Media Hub powered by Microsoft´s DVR Platform

Microsoft still thinks that one of tomorrow’s major battlefield for consumer electronics is in each living room, and I think that they’re right. Consumers will be the driving force behind the whole semiconductor industry.

The LG LRM-519 is a DVD Player/Recorder + Personal Video Recorder (PVR) + Digital Audio Player. It also comes with an Electronic Programming guide that is -probably- free. This elegant device can also connect (via Ethernet or Wifi) to your PC and transfer video or music.

TiVo should keep en eye on the evolution of this DVR platform. Until now their user interface has been keeping them ahead, but they are attacked from all directions. Cheap DVRs are coming from the TV operators and Microsoft is coming for two directions at a time: Windows Media Center PCs and DVR platform.
