
Apple talk Australia posted a geek guide to help you push the Mac Mini into a high capacity file server. They basically replace the slow 40/80GB 2.5-inch notebook drive with off-the-shelf, larger and faster 7200RPM 3.5-inch drives (actually two 250GB RAID 1 configured drives).
The only downside of this surgical operation : you have to tear apart your beautiful Mac Mini and stuff all the components into an ugly PC Mini ATX case…
Do I wait for gorgeous PC Mini cases to show up on the market or do I really want to boost this too limited cute machine?
