Canon introduces new flagship consumer digital SLR camera
If priced correctly, the 350d could be a huge success

Canon has announced the successor to the popular EOS 300D Digital camera. The new 8.0-Megapixel camera is 10 per cent lighter and 25 per cent smaller by volume than the EOS 300D Digital and incorporates many new features introduced with the EOS 20D Digital.

Powered by the same DIGIC II image processor found in Canon’s professional series Digital SLR cameras, the EOS 350D Digital features a 3 frame-per-second, 14-frame burst operation, USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface, simultaneous RAW and Large JPEG writing and a fast 0.2 second start-up time.

In the US, it will be called Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT and your can pre-order it from Amazon for $899.99 (body).
