Ok, we did not get our hands on the unit, but someone did. Over at MobileTechReview, they had the opportunity to play with it. Highlights:
• The pocket PC phone will be Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz)
• It will have the first Windows Mobile Square screen (240×240 pixels)
• An Intel 520Mhz CPU powers Windows Mobile 2003 SE
• The rear has a 1.3MP camera that apparently takes good pictures.
• Size, here’s some real world info: “Form factor very much like a BlackBerry but more attractive. It’s the same size as the iPAQ 6315 when the 6315 is not wearing its snap on keyboard. It’s quite smaller than the 6315 with keyboard attached.”
(More in the full post)
• Networking: GSM/Edge Bluetooth, NO WIFI
• The antenna-less GPS receiver is said to be very good.
• SD + mini SD slots
Thanks to mobiletechreview for this update.
The slightly larger size confirms what I was suspecting from looking at the photo. This device might be bigger than what people are ready to settle for.
