Samsung Electronics has introduced its new X Series laptop range. Representing the company’s first Sonoma platform-based laptop, the new systems claim powerful mobility, high performance and market-leading battery life. all models include a Intel Pentium M processor (1.6GHz-2.0GHz), 15.1- SXGA or 15.4in. WSXGA+ LCD screen, ATI Mobility Radeon X600 graphics processor (64- or 128MB), and Intel Pro/Wireless 2915ABG wireless LAN supporting 802.11a/b/g.
Connectivity options are good too, including 10/100/1000 Ethernet, V.90 modem, three USB 2.0 ports, single FireWire, VGA out, composite video-out, SPDIF audio-out and a PCMCIA Type II slot. Also, a multi-format memory card reader accepts Memory Stick and SD Card formats.
The high-end X50 has another neat feature – it can delivered with optional biometric security courtesy of a fingerprint reader.
