Sony goes after the iPod Photo… kind of

The new Sony Hi-MD plays MP3s and displays photos

Sony launches a new Mini Disc (MD) based MP3 player that can also display photos, using a small LCD screen.

I don’t think that it’s really a threat to the iPod photo (which was not all that successful, btw).

If looking at photos on your MP3 Player is not a good enough reason to invest in near-obsolete technology (MD), I don’t know what else is.
