BenQ P50 smartphone launched in Italy

After a year of hype (and frustration) build-up, BenQ releases its P50 smartphone in Italy.

We’ve talked numerous times about this device, and quite frankly and my interest for this device has come way down. A Wifi connection and Skype for PocketPC would entertain me, however. (Specs below)

• Memory: 64MB Flash ROM and 64MB SDRAM
• Connectivity: Bluetooth, IrDA and USB; WLAN support built-in (Wi-Fi on board!)
• operating system: Microsoft Pocket PC Phone Edition
• digital camera: 1.3MP CMOS with integrated flash and digital zoom
• video player and recorder
• MP3 player
• complete keyboard of QWERTY format
• support for JAVA/J2ME applications
• weight: 170g.
