Packing a Wifi and a GSM/GPRS adapter, this gizmo from Buslink can be very useful when you are far away from your regular wired internet connection.
It can obviously connect to Wifi hotspots, but the most interesting part is that it can also connect to your GPRS service that you might have on your cellphone plan. Just insert your SIM card into this adapter. Granted, it will probably be very slow, but it’s better than nothing if you absolutely need to stay connected.
It’s a pretty cool option… if you have a GPRS data plan. You might also want to check-out the PCMCIA GPRS cards, if your laptop already has wifi.
