I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but pretty much everything is getting finger print recognition, from USB drives to laptops. Some cars also have this system, for good or bad…
In Malaysia one could chop off your fingers to get in your car. The car, a Mercedes S-class (worth around $75,000), was protected by a fingerprint recognition system. [...]So the attackers forced Mr. Kumaran to put his finger on the security panel to start the vehicle, then threw him in the back seat. But since the car needed the fingerprint everytime the car was turned off, they stripped Mr. Kumaran naked and left him by the side of the road, but not before they cut the end of his index finger with a machete. Granted, over there one can also chop your hand to get your watch…
