JVC DLA-HX2E Video Projector
Co-Published with BIOS

JVC’s latest projector is designed to recapture the big-screen movie feeling. With a dedicated widescreen and HDCP decoder, as well as a high contrast of 1500:1, the DLA-HX2E (298x360x134mm, 5.9kg) should be an excellent performer. Other features of the model include a high native resolution of 1400×788 (WXGA+) pixels, brightness of 500 ANSI Lumens, throw size of 37-220in. (diagonal), and throw distance of 1.56-12.56m. It also supports PAL, SECAM, NTSC and NTSC 4.43 video formats, HDTV (1080i, 720p, 576i/576p, 480i/480p), and comes with a relatively wide selection of video inputs (component, S-Video, composite, and DVI).

Publisher’s note: 500 ANSI Lumens is actually pretty low. It means that this projector is best used in dark conditions. Most mid-range projectors have 800-1200 Lumens. Keep that in mind if you’re shopping for one.
