Motorola used the JavaOne conference to show its new E895 cellphone that contains the latest multimedia software the company has to offer. It’s a GSM world phone that can download music or video clips and store it into a Transflash card. Download should happen at a speed of 80kbps to 130kbps using a 2.5G EDGE connection. My favorite feature is the 320×240 display.
I’m pretty annoyed that Motorola has selected the Transflash format rather than SD or mini SD. I understand that the format is smaller, but it’s hard to believe that it was impossible to fit an SD slot somewhere. Anyways, another flashcard format is the last thing that users need or want.
