Ever since the announcement of this 5 Megapixel camera, I wanted to take a look at what it can do. The feature that stood out was the powerful 12X optical zoom with image stabilizer. I’m quite interested with Image Stabilization, so I was anxious to try it. To do so, I took a photo of a Blu-Ray information panel that was about 15 yards away (eyeballing here) to see if it was going to be readable and sharp. The verdict: it’s sharp… Very sharp.
The DSC-H1 is not ultra compact, but it’s fairly small. The pictures are good and even if it won’t equal a SLR digital camera, it is still pretty darn good. If you don’t want to get a bulky camera, you should definitely consider this one. (Many more photos below)
