The word is out that Cingular is considering using the “iPhone”, fruit of the collaboration between Apple and Motorola:
According to Reuters sources, Cingular is considering using the iTunes cellphone created by Motorola and Apple. An RBC Capital analyst has said there are current negotiations for how to work out the revenue share between the carrier and Apple. Motorola expects to ship the phone in the third quarter of this year. (FirstAdopter) |
It means that Cingular has figured out how to make money out of it. Initially, cellphones carriers were afraid that Apple would bypass them when it comes to sell music that is downloadable directly to cellphones. Nothing official yet…
