HTC will be unleashing its new dual-band cell phone soon, with some reports targeting an early 2006 release. Running on the Microsoft Windows Mobile platform, the Wizard comes with a full QWERTY keyboard that slides from the side, freeing up a chunk of space that was invested in screen real estate. When closed, the Wizard has a 4-way navigation key exluding the center key, and 6 other buttons that will render the device usable with a single hand.
With WiFi (802.11b), Bluetooth, and Infrared support, connectivity is not a dirty word here. Leaked pictures have shown that there could be as many as up to 3 design types, where the WIZA 100 and WIZA 110 are differentiated by a 1.3 mega-pixel camera behind on the former, while the WIZA 200 retains all the bells and whistles of the WIZA 200 in a trendy package.
