The Hitachi DV-DH1000W is not only a cool DVD recorder, but it also has the highest capacity in its class: 1TB (TeraBytes – or 1024GB). That’s quite impressive, given that 500GB hard drives came out very recently. I assume that there are two hard drives in the Hitachi DV-DH1000W. Several lower-end (500, 250 and 160GB) versions are available and most have and HDMI port. As Akihabaranews points out, 1 TB is enough to record 68hrs of HD video or 1700hrs of standard definition TV. [DV-DH1000W homepage (Japanese)]
