Although the rumor about an eventual windows-powered Treo 670 is not new (look here and here), it came back in the news thanks to photos and videos sent by “Roc e fella” to the “Dave’s iPaq” website. It already sparks controversy in the forums: “that’s what pisses me off… you risk your job by posting stuff like this and people here questions you…” (El Chino). From the photos, it’s hard to tell for sure if it’s true or not. The videos are so bad that it just looks like a windows blob. However, the windows Treo fans have never been so close from a Windows powered Treo 650. The truth is out there. (Photos and link to the videos after the jump)
A few remarks: From the photos, I think that the size of the user interface (UI) is way too big. It looks like a 176×220 pixels smartphone UI stretched to fit the Treo 650 screen. With a 320×320 pixels display, I would expect the icons and text to be much smaller (to display more information). The black border of the screen seems huge if I compare it with my Treo 650. For sure, the buttons and the digicam layout in the back are different. To be continued…
