UltraCell Corporation unveiled a new fuel cell power source that has twice the energy density of lithium batteries to power portable electronic devices. Its reformed methanol fuel cell (RMFC) technology derives fuel-cell ready hydrogen from a concentrated methanol solution via a micro reformer. This new power source is expected to enter markets by 2006. UltraCell’s micro reformer technology is simple to use – there is only one button to press. [Via Gizmag]
