Canon levels up with IXY Digital L3

Canon’s IXY Digital L3 (jp) will replace the L2 this October. This 5.0 mega-pixel camera is the first L-series Canon that provides 2.4X optical zoom and a 4X digital zoom. USB 2.0 connectivity is supported and the upgraded NB-4L battery can last on average 160 shots before the next charge. The IXY Digital L3 comes with a 1.8” TFT LCD, video and audio recording (in WAV format), and an excellent lens, F3.2 – F5.4 at 38-90mm (35mm equivalent). The L3 comes in 4 colors, although no price has been announced yet.
