Pretec 4GB MMC Plus 266X

Pretec Electronics Corp has released the 4GB MMC Plus 266X, the largest capacity MMC card, smallest and fastest small form factor flash memory card in the world today. Theoretically, most MMC 3.x and SD 1.0 cards operate at 2.5MB/s (16X) and 12.5MB/s (83X) speeds, while MMC 4.x cards operate on a higher plane at 52MB/s (346X) – trouncing SD 1.1 at 25MB/s (166X). Pretec’s 4GB MMC Plus 266X is twice faster than Pretec’s 4GB SD card 133X. The card is priced at $699 each, targeting a 4th quarter production date.
