
Ian Pearson from BT Laboratories say that “It is very hard for me to think of breast implants as just decorative. If a woman has something implanted permanently, it might as well do something useful.” Although such technology will be possible in 15 years’ time, is there any good reason to pursue it? Of course you can use it to detect blood pressure, diabetes, and breast cancer – but how about something more practical like a GPS receiver or a MP3 player?
