This development will be an attempt to compete with the ridiculous prices offered by low-cost textile manufacturers from China and other Asian countries. Japan has extremely high environmental awareness, and US manufacturers hope to capitalize on this to push sales. These socks will cost 20% more than what is currently available, but it bodes well for the earth and her citizens.
