High cost of Blu-ray royalties drive HP away

HP, previous proponent of Sony’s Blu-ray format has switched to the HD-DVD camp. The company cites the unreasonable cost that they bear to support the Blu-ray format as the main factor for their change of mind. It costs $30 per PC drive for Blue-ray royalties.
