
Anandtech has reached a verdict for the Intel Core Duo platform and answers the most pressing question – how does it hold up against AMD’s dual core Athlon 64 X2 processor? Initial results show an amazing performance jump in equipped notebooks, increasing productivity like never before. However, both processors do not have a distinct advantage over the other, with the Core Duo having a larger cache while its AMD counterpart has an on-die memory controller evening things out.
