
Junichi Takeno and his team of researchers at Meiji University, Japan are well on the way to develop a robot that has self-recognizing ability. With a 70% hit rate, the robot can distinguish seeing itself in a mirror or another similar looking robot. Its still ages away from a fully self-aware robot, but it’s a start at the very least.
