JVC’s 70” rear projection HDTV uses D-ILA technology that is actually Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCOS). This new TV is meant to erode some of Sony’s market share. LCOS reflects light off liquid crystals instead of shining light through them – making a huge difference in picture quality. The TV comes with a full 1920 x 1080p resolution, 2 HDMI inputs, and a CableCARD slot. It looks like a bargain at $6,000. Sound and Vision via Gizmodo
