Optical handheld scanner via a mouse

Fancy turning your optical mouse into a scanner? Somebody posted on a large Dutch forum the method of that amazing transformation. He coded a VB application for reading the sensor outputs after going through the optical mouse sensor’s datasheets in order to turn his optical mouse into a handheld scanner. The site has the software ready and works only with the ADNS-2610 optical sensor that is identified via the 8 pins, a sun-like mark, and the text ‘A2610’. Via Make
