Radar Scope offers battlefield flexibility

The Radar Scope from the military can see through 12” of solid concrete and at least 50 feet beyond that to determine whether there is any human presence in a building. This portable handheld device can even detect human breathing. Developed by DARPA, this telephone handset-sized device is speculated to cost $1000 a pop and is expected to be made available to troops in Iraq as early as this spring. Via Fraggerock
