Hong Kong’s Intellectual Property Department has received a couple of trademark submissions from Apple Computer for the terms iPod Boombox and iPod Hi-Fi. The filings were made on June 13, 2005 and September 20, 2005 respectively. The iPod Hi-Fi could’ve been an alternative name for the iPod 5G at time of filing, while the iPod Boombox filing described the service or device under no specific terms, leaving plenty of room for speculation on the final product.
