
Kemal Dervis from the UN will sign a memorandum of understanding with Nicholas Negroponte of the One Laptop per Child project this Saturday regarding the $100 laptop project at the World Economic Forum annual meeting. Meant for school children and teachers, these hand-cranked laptops that run on an open source platform are meant to provide futuristic education to even the most impoverished of countries.
