
Dell plans to release notebooks with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) in France, Germany, and the UK before half the year is over. HSDPA is an upgrade to current 3G networks and offers triple or quadruple the data access rates 3G users enjoy now. Reduced network latency also boosts overall performance, especially heavy-duty Web browsers. Hopefully Dell will be able to sell enough HSDPA notebooks then to increase the chances of mainstream adoption. Via The Register
