Skype has reached an agreement with Hutchinson that enables Skype to run on 3 networks across the globe. It is most likely to run on Symbian-based phones at the moment. The S60 Skype application encompasses Skype text char, voice calls, and Skype Out dialing. So far a couple of Nokia 6680s have successfully run Skype on a 3G network, with a latency time of 1 second. Performance over a WiFi connection is almost similar to a normal call, so that would be the connection of choice for most users.
