If analysts Andrew Neff, Bill Hand and Ted Chung from Bear Stearns are right, Sprint will start offering the Treo 700w before the end of the first quarter. It’s sooner that one would expect, because previous exclusive deals between Palm and wireless carriers (like Sprint) were as long as 6 months. However, the length of these deals depends largely on how much each carrier contributes to the design effort of the smart phone. Finally that would confirm our earlier suspicions that Sprint customers would get the phone before Cingular and other GSM carriers. Sprint uses a CMDA wireless network, just like Verizon.
